Mrs. Wagner has been at Milford Catholic Elementary School for 25 years. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Assumption College and holds a double major in Elementary Education and Psychology.
“I love my job at MCES. I don’t go to work, I go to school. I love the warm family atmosphere. MCES is a family,” she says. “And all our families genuinely care for each other and others in the community.”
What is her typical day like?
“I am usually at school very early to prepare for the day, I love to greet my students, and see their smiling faces. We work and play all day, hoping everyone goes home happy.”
She says people may not realize that MCES incorporates a religious aspect to learning, a special and important piece of the development of each child. “Our school teaches love, respect, and compassion through this religious piece,” she says.
Since MCES is an environment that teaches students to be respectful and compassionate towards others, Mrs. Wagner believes “it is a school that parents should be proud to send their children to.” She is proud to say her own three children attended MCES.
One of her favorite moments?
“My very first class hosted a bridal shower for me during the summer before I was married. It was a very proud moment for me and them.”
