Educating the Mind, Body, and Spirit

Academic Excellence

Milford Catholic Elementary School consistently scores well above its peers on the Terra-Nova standardized tests.  Our children move on to other Catholic schools or the public school system when they complete sixth grade and we frequently hear how MCES has not only prepared them for the transition, but the education they received at MCES has also given them an academic advantage over their contemporaries.

Physical Fitness

Physical Fitness plays an important role in any education program.  Here at MCES we strive to insure that the children get the exercise and physical exertion to keep the body strong and healthy.  We understand that a healthy body creates a healthy mind which promotes learning.

Christ’s Love

At Milford Catholic Elementary School you can see Christ’s love in action in each classroom, in each faculty member, in each parent and in each student. We go beyond pure academics by teaching Love, Respect, and Compassion. We work alongside the parents to help develop these gospel values along with the strong moral compass that is clearly visible in our students both at and away from school.

MCES

Available Online

A curriculum summary by grade is available online under the academics menu option.  A calendar is also available for each grade that shows information on homework, projects, tests and any other information the teachers feel the parents need to know about.  Please check back to this section in the future as it will be expanded to show many other educational resources for parents.  These will include resources to help with homework, tutoring resources and listings of online courses that the teachers feel may be helpful to students.

Computer Lab

Laptops

MCES supplies all fourth through sixth grade students with laptops for use doing in-class work. Students using these laptops become very comfortable with using the technology for reports, spreadsheets, presentations and online research.  The students are taught how to use the various office applications and how to properly do research online as well as online safety which is always stressed.

FieldTrip-3

Activities

Milford Catholic has many activities and events throughout the year including field trips, the Art Show, Hop-a-thon, Family Fun Day, Concerts, Dances, field day, Earth day, the Crowning of Mary, Touch-A-Truck, and many more.  Several of these events help us bring the school and the community together while others allow us to add variety and excitement  to our students schedules.
